Regarded as the most significant redevelopment in the Rochester region in decades, Tower280 at Midtown has become a symbol of downtown Rochester’s resurgence. What was once just skeletal remains of a 1960s office tower in the heart of Center City, is now a flourishing contemporary mixed-use tower with ground floor retail, modern office space, and luxury residential units.
Buckingham redeveloped the 44,000 square foot former Ward Supply building into a mixed-use destination connecting Rochester’s vibrant South Wedge and Swillburg neighborhoods. “Edge of the Wedge” includes thirty residential lofts, and retail tenants on the ground floor, including The Cub Room, a new American restaurant, a butcher shop, McCann’s Local Meats, and a gym, Glickfit.
Alex Park is a mixed-use development project on the 16-acre site of the former Genesee Hospital on Alexander Street in Rochester between Monroe and Park Avenues. After acquiring the vacant hospital campus in 2006 from Rochester General Hospital, Buckingham Properties has revitalized the area through a combination of renovation and new builds, ultimately creating a new pocket neighborhood at the gateway to downtown Rochester.
Buckingham Properties transformed a seven-story abandoned manufacturing building in the City of Rochester into a mixed-use property with 36 residential lofts and office space on the lower floors. As a highly-visible building just off of the Interstate, Buckingham Commons became one of Buckingham’s flagship properties representing the company’s specialization in mixed-use redevelopment.
