Buckingham partnered with Butler/Till to develop a five-story mixed-use building in the heart of Rochester’s Central Business District. The building includes ground floor retail, Class A office space, and luxury apartments on the upper floors.

Alex Park is a mixed-use development project on the 16-acre site of the former Genesee Hospital on Alexander Street in Rochester between Monroe and Park Avenues. Buckingham Properties completed phase one of the project in 2011, which included extensive renovation and the construction of several new commercial buildings. Phase two, currently in progress, involves several new mixed-use buildings on eight acres at the north end of the campus to complete the neighborhood.

Buckingham redeveloped the 44,000 square foot former Ward Supply building into a mixed-use destination connecting Rochester’s vibrant South Wedge and Swillburg neighborhoods. “Edge of the Wedge” includes thirty residential lofts, and retail tenants on the ground floor, including The Cub Room, a new American restaurant, a butcher shop, McCann’s Local Meats, and a gym, Glickfit.

After acquiring the vacant hospital campus in 2006 from Rochester General Hospital, Buckingham Properties has revitalized the area through a combination of renovation and new builds, ultimately creating a new pocket neighborhood at the gateway to downtown Rochester.

Buckingham Properties transformed a seven-story abandoned manufacturing building in the City of Rochester into a mixed-use property with 36 residential lofts and office space on the lower floors. As a highly-visible building just off of the Interstate, Buckingham Commons became one of Buckingham’s flagship properties representing the company’s specialization in mixed-use redevelopment.
