The History of Buckingham Commons
A note from Buckingham’s very own Historian, Tom Latta:
85 Allen Street started out as the Pullman Manufacturing Company in the late 1800’s. It manufactured sash balance equipment or window counterbalancing technology. It is most notably known as the home of Art Craft Optical, who was the last to occupy the building until Buckingham Properties acquisition.
For many years, it stood vacant, pigeons and homeless had found refuge. Our founder and visionary, Larry Glazer, saw promise in the 78,000 square foot building and purchased it in September of 2004.
Buckingham Commons is a jewel in the Buckingham Properties portfolio, with its orange color and placement adjacent to Frontier Field, what’s not to like?
