It’s not enough to just know the square footage you’re after when it comes to choosing an industrial complex or unit, you’ll also need to be thinking about cubic square footage (aka ceiling height). By knowing the cubic footage you need, you’ll be able to determine if there is enough space to stack pallets or boxes or even stack finished products for inventory. Inversely, if you know you won’t need to build upward, then why pay to rent space under a high ceiling if it won’t ever be put to use?

If you need semi-truck deliveries, there needs to be space for them to load and unload their vehicles. Will you need a loading area with a high dock? Will you need roll-on roll-off services?
