Often times, our best opportunities come in the form of mutually beneficial partnerships allowing us to source, acquire and execute deals with the best combination of capital and operating expertise. Opportunities to partner have no limitations and can come from relationships with key tenants, brokers, contractors, equity investors, outside developers, CPAs, attorneys, etc.
Access & opportunity
Another type of Strategic Partnership is a “Sale/Leaseback” transaction. Buckingham’s access to capital provides us an opportunity to inject significant liquidity into a business through the purchase of the real estate with a simultaneously executed lease from the seller to lease-back the facility. This type of real estate transaction can provide a business owner with cash to either invest back into their business, or perhaps to “cash out” on its real estate component. This structure can be beneficial to intercompany succession planning strategies and generational family transitions. It can also provide a mechanism to generate growth without increasing the debt burden to the business.
