Helping to Build a Greener Tomorrow
At Buckingham Properties we’re Helping to Build A Greener Tomorrow for future generations.
Our focus: To meet the demand for new and re-developed buildings that establish sustainable environments and practices now and in the future.
Our sustainable work programs include the following:
- Adaptive reuse by retrofitting old buildings to retain their historic features, improve performance, minimize impacts and build value
- Utilization of steam obtained through Rochester District Heating Cooperative (RDH) to heat our downtown properties-Buckingham Properties is the largest private company belonging to the RDH Cooperative
- Integration of building systems and components that require less energy to operate, use less water and have a longer life-cycle
- Exclusive use of “Green” cleaning products
- Client assistance in implementing programs and building designs that establish sustainable environments and practices

Currently under construction at the Alexander Park Professional Center, this new state-of-the-art building will be the future corporate headquarters for Earthlink Inc. Technologies, strategies, and tools are being incorporated in the construction phase to improve energy savings above current standards and over the life-time of the building.
